Two weeks ago we had a puppet animation’s induction, so we had to create a puppet and make it do a simple (but not so simple) walk cycle.
We were split into groups of 4-5 and each person had to create a different character. I decided to make mine look quite sad, so I used a dark colour for the body, and since he had to convey a certain feeling, i make him stand with his back curved.
We didn’t have any armatures, so making the puppets move was a real performance! I did a shame, and fortunately, i still don’t have the animation file. My puppet could barely stand on two feets, so obviously, it kept falling during the walking cycle shots.
