The project’s aim was to create a body adornment for people who lived in a world totally different from the one we’re used to. We first had to think of a story of how people had come to live in that world, and describe what everyday life would have been like there.
My group decided for a world nearly destroyed by a nuclear war, where most of its inhabitants had come to live underground to protect themself from the radiations. The rest had tried to rebuild the “surface” world but without any success.
Then we had to develop our story further individually, and I focused on the people living on the surface. They lived in slums built up from past buildings’ rubble, and used to hunt other animals to survive, since nothing could ever grow in the ground again. Both man an animals had been subject to body mutations, which had favoured them in the new environment. Men had become stronger and their nose had developed a nose able to filter the dust brought by sand storms. Animals had become bigger and fiercer, and only the carnivores had been able to adapt.
Given this background I had to do some sketches of how people would have been dressed and this is what I did:

Final piece. I've used alluminium and paint for the fang/blase, and leather and an old belt for the arm's band
I am extremely sorry for the picture’s quality, but I couldn’t make them better and Photoshop has already done a miracle, believe me!
